My Artistic Work:
As a painter, jeweler, sculptor and inventor my life goes wherever my imagination takes me. Some of those directions involve using everyday recyclable materials to create everything from a bouquets of beautiful flowers to a “solar pasteurizer “ that makes safe drinking water to save lives. I feel that “ The future can be bright when we use our imagination to envision a better world for us all ”.
Training and Professional Experience:
I have been a practicing artist for over 50 years. I am a graduate in fine arts form the Ohio State University and while in graduate school taught drawing and sculpture classes. I was trained as a machinist while serving in the US military. I exhibit my work at craft shows and through craft and art galleries world wide. I teach at schools, recreation and senior centers and have traveled in Europe, and Central America where I have conducted workshops using recyclables to make crafts and art. I share my artworks and experiences through slide show presentations, workshops and residencies. I am currently an artist represented by the Greater Columbus Arts Council and Ohio Alliance for Arts Education (Artist-In-Schools Program) As well as the Ohio Arts Council,(Artist-In-Residence Programs). Go to my web page at: http://recyclabits.com/Recyclabits.com/Recyclabits.com.html to see more about workshops and booking information.
