Hakim Callwood

 Hakim is a 28 year old freelance illustrator/designer from Columbus, Ohio. His work ranges from painting, animation, and teaching. His long term goal is to create self sustaining educational hands on visual art workspaces. His inspiration in art began with marvel comic hand me downs from his older brother. So far he has completed a couple of comic books and painted for companies such as the Columbus Crew,, Sprite, and Facebook.. Hakim became a full time visual artist in early 2017 . He sells and commissions paintings on canvas, Digital, and creates animations. In the last few years Hakim has shown in many Gallery shows, art events, and created murals around the country including an Art Talk about how politics and current events affect artists and their work and winning an Addy Award for a mural. His current goal is to finish more story driven comic and animations of his original characters Spaceboy and Spacegirl.
