Time flies when you’re on deadline. As my colleagues and I gear up for the Columbus Arts Festival June 9-11, May has just flown by. June is already heating up (literally and figuratively)—here’s my short list of fun activities for the weekend.
- Thursday, June 1: Wild Goose Creative is hosting a Speak Easy: True Stories Told Live event, and Natalie’s has the Bryan Olsheski Quartet featuring Bobby Floyd on Charlie’s Stage.
- Friday, June 2: Available Light Theater opens Cry it Out at the Wellington School. Show runs through June 18.
- June 2-4: Gateway Film Center’s Cult 101 series is showing Labyrinth and the 4K restoration series is features Shawshank Redemption.
- Saturday, June 3: Franklin Park Conservatory has the Ohio Water Lantern Festival.
- Sunday, June 4: The OTE Art Walk in Old Town East.
Last call
- Along the Way at Studios on High, closes June 1.
- Closing June 2. Isabel Zeng, River Berry, Margaret Hull at ROY thru June 2
- Fractals: Patterns in Nature, at the Dublin Arts Council, closes June 2
- Flower Power 2023 at Shadowbox Live ends June 4.
