Madison Everett

Madison Everett is the Marketing and Events intern for the Greater Columbus Arts Council. When not interning, she can be found anywhere where there is water, words, family or music. She loves the calm and serenity that comes with being around or in water; the way music makes her feel buzzy and alive; and the pure chaos and confusion that comes with her large and strange family. (Sunday family dinners are a requirement in the Everett household, and the guest list is 17 and counting. The newest addition is her baby cousin, Skylar, born on April 28, 2022).

Most of all, she loves writing about the emotions and experiences life brings her every day. Poetry found Madison when she was about 6 or 7 in the form of picture books and music and her grandfather preaching on sweaty summer Sundays, and it has refused to leave her alone ever since. Though she will be the first one to tell you, she couldn’t have asked for a better life partner.

She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies and a minor in Creative Writing. Career-wise, she would love to judge a literary competition, publish many, many collections of writing, and inspire others who think, look, and love like she does to shout their story as loudly and as boldly as they can.

Personally, her number one goal is to collaborate with RedBull and Ben and Jerry’s to create her own flavors.
