"For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved to make people smile. It never mattered how I did it, I just loved seeing and making people happy. My career in the arts started by making people laugh, specifically my parents while they were thinking of a punishment for something stupid I had done. That punishment: joining the church choir. The rest, as they say, is history. No matter what I’ve done in my career, I look back to that punishment and I’m thankful for how my life turned out, all because I was such a goofball in middle school. Moving to Columbus was one of the best decisions I could have made as an artist, not only because of the people I’ve met and collaborations I have made, but because this city inspires art in every aspect. This city can bring out the best in any artist, if you’re open to new challenges. Be uncomfortable. Challenge yourself. Find joy in growing. Be better. Columbus inspired me to be better and no matter where I go next or what I perform, Columbus is home. An art haven where you can truly embrace your weirdness."
