So much goes on here that it can get a little overwhelming, which is why we make this blog to curate a few ideas to get your creative curiosity piqued.
- Flower Power is back at Shadowbox Live starting Thursday, March 9 with Flower Power 2023.
- Jazz Arts Group is presenting Greatest Jazz Concert in the World Part II at the Southern Theatre Thursday through Sunday.
- Natalie’s is hosting Legend Plus! A Bob Marley and the Wailers tribute concert on the Music Hall Stage, Friday, March 10.
- Club Lincoln at the Lincoln Theatre presents the James Gaiters Soul Revival on Friday.
- Friday and Saturday catch a screening of the restored Bernardo Bertolucci film The Conformist at Gateway Film Center
- BalletMet presents three world premiers in a Celebration of New Works in the Riffe Center’s Davidson Theatre, Friday through March 18.
- Eclipse Theatre Company opens The Wild Women of Winedale on Friday and the show runs through March 19.
- Saturday, March 11 brings us the weirdest and most awesome of combinations—soup, music and philanthropy. SoupFest, at the Valley Dale Ballroom, has soup samplings, live music—Including local darlings Saintseneca—and all proceeds go to the Mid-Oho Food Collective and the Alcohol, Drug & Mental Health Board of Franklin County.
- Sunday March 12 see and hear the Detroit Blues Queen, Thornetta Davis and her band on Natalie’s Music Hall Stage.
- If the Oscars are your thing then you are in luck. Two indy movie theaters are hosting viewing parties: The Drexel Red Carpet Bash kicks off at 7 p.m. and the 2023 Awards Gala at Gateway Film Center kicks off at 6 p.m.
