Recently published in BOMB Magazine, Miguel Gutierrez’s “Does Abstraction Belong to White People?” examines the politics of race in contemporary dance. In conjunction with his presentation of This Bridge Called My Ass at the Wex, the choreographer will offer his essay as a conversation starter for a panel of Ohio State professors: Nadine George-Graves (Departments of Dance and Theatre), Guisela Latorre (Department of History of Art), and Shannon Winnubst (Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies).
