Recovery is an interpersonal dynamic process of embracing hope, defining oneself, and participating in meaningful roles in community. The sculpture has been used as the model for the Recovery Award, given out by Southeast Health Care's Fresh AIR Gallery. It recognizes artists who have worked in the community to end the stigma against mental illness and promote recovery efforts.
