Petit Five
"Petit Five" are modular sculpture/seating elements based on the unique 5-sided footprint of the courtyard. The sculpture/seating elements are a reaction to the functionality of the space by cafe patrons and visibility by surrounding faculty offices. The sculptures are meant to be equally comfortable seating and offer an easily viewable, ever changing graphic pattern from above. The top (A-side) is the mirror reflection of the bottom (B-side). Each side has three seats and 4 cup holders (feet). Four of the exterior sides have an interlocking edge. An A orientated element can be ''locked'' to a B oriented element.
