Alison Hess

Alison is an illustrator and cartoonist based in Columbus, Ohio. Her personal work utilizes fantasy and mythology to explore one's place in an increasingly complicated world. An alumni from the Columbus College of Art & Design, she currently works in the city as an illustrator and graphic designer.

NIGHTJAR is a group exhibition co-hosted by Alison Hess & Alan Alanis, opening at Skylab Gallery on October 20th at 7 pm. The show will be accessible from Oct. 20th through November 10th. NIGHTJAR is a show exploring the themes of fantasy, magic, alchemy, transfiguration, and perpetual night, set appropriately to release at the enigmatic time of the year just before Halloween. The robust body of work will consist of digital illustration and sculpture, ceramics, sculptural installations, paintings, prints, and more.
