Melinda Rosenberg

I want to work on the edge of perception, where the struggle to see differences highlights what is there.
 

Wood holds the memory of its growth in the grain.  Sometimes the grain appears in a rhythmic pattern across the surface, and sometimes it is weather worn into a old, rough ripple.  I take my lead from the wood. 
 

In art, I want to stir the quiet moment.


Melinda Rosenberg is a studio artist who has shown extensively in the Midwest.  She is represented by Sherrie Gallerie in Columbus,  Tansey Contemporary in Sante Fe, NM and in Denver, CO, Haen Gallery in Asheville, NC, and CIRCA Gallery in Minneapolis, MN.  Her work is in the collection of Rush Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago, and The Huntington Mortgage Company, Nationwide Insurance Company, Glimcher Reality Trust, and Columbus Public Libraries, Columbus.   Ms. Rosenberg is the recipient of numerous grants form the Ohio Arts Council and the Greater Columbus Arts Council.  She recieved her BAE and MFA from The Ohio State University, and studied Chinese language at Fu Jen University.
