Making ceramics is something that keeps me going.  It started out as an experimental challenge to see whether I could throw on the wheel, and it has ended up becoming so much a part of daily life.  Using various clays including stoneware varieties and porcelain, I create ceramics on the potter's wheel.  Generally, functional ware is what I aim for yet I would like to blend more abstract forms into functional ware for a hybrid approach.  Handbuilding adornments or creatures and later adding them to functional forms is something I would like to push toward doing more often.  Just being recently introduced into the world of porcelain, I now consider myself fully addicted to a life of ceramic creation.  I now offer potter's wheel lessons and the information is posted on my main website.  I would love to be able to ignite the passion for ceramics in other people that I have found for myself.  It is truly a gift to have ceramics fill my life.
