Helma Groot
My paintings, sculptures and mobiles are populated with natural and man-made objects. Much of my work deals with man's impact on the world around us. My newest series titled 'Urban Circus' is a collection of two and three dimensional pieces. It is inspired by Alexander Calder's circus. The mobiles and paintings deal loosely with the idea of what we do to earn money, what we own, what we take along, and what is most important to us.
