work is life. I am a self-taught artist and musician influenced by music and film as well as Nature and fractals. I seem to like to combine elements of chaos and order, straight lines and crooked, as if a snapshot of either creation or destruction.
I like to keep a rough/street/textured look to my paintings as i use discarded/recycled materials and artifically damage/worn elements. I started out my style strictly with construction paper and acrylic paint in 1999 and then using discarded corrugated cigarette and soda signs, spray paint and acrylic. Some work has taken 7 or 8 years, some a few hours.
I began creating my own music and CD packaging around 2001 for the sake of budget, and even had my product store once banned from eBay because apparently i was one of the first people to be selling my CDs there?
I have been producing and recording electronic-based music since 1993 and perform live a few times a year.
Eventually i am moving more towards assemblage/ functional art /furniture, etc. There are also a large amount of digital art done last winter for print, in which i photograph sections of mixed media or paintings and combine them to create a new piece. These are yet to be printed, but should be around 24-32 inches in length when finished.
