Blank walls, quiet spaces and paintings have long offered a respite from the scurry and flurry of life. When we allow our imaginations to be eradicated by constant stimulation, there is no allowance, no time, no place for creativity. 

The professional artist on the other hand is immersed in a different world.

 Seeing, experiencing and attempting to capture the beauty and depth of various narratives, multitudinous shapes as well as feelings that life and dreams present, the creative is obligated to work diligently to fulfill visions.

A vision can come from anywhere. Sometimes it can be getting hit over the head with something so surreally beautiful or ethereal that it must be painted. Sometimes it is more of an ambiguous combination of thought and feeling whose transmogrification is yet unknown, unplanned.

Color is an extremely powerful form of emotional expression which I use to punch up my paintings. Recently I have returned to watercolor as a medium in preparation for the possibility of traveling again, as we head towards a post-pandemic period.
