Experimental Night

This is a new space and new idea cooking from 3 years back and now coming to fruition - FAFO Jam! What is FAFO / the rules?: A) Only ONE ticket per person. Whether you have an idea, or are helping. Purchase ONE ticket only. If you are in the Nest community (student/grad/performer) and have an idea, pick the PERFORMER ticket / if you are watching or assisting someone with an idea, pick the General Admission ticket. ***IF YOU'VE PURCHASED A PERFORMER TICKET, YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY A HELPER TICKET TO BE ABLE TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE WITH THEIR IDEA*** B) Every PERFORMER ticket has the opportunity to do ONE thing (a sketch, a poem, standup, one character monologue, a song - whatever!) up to 5 minutes in length to test in front of an audience of creatives and a small pocket of general public. FAFO is a cheap curated mic performed by anyone that has signed the Code of Ethics @ The Nest with a host, tech, house manager making it feel a little polished but still casual and fun - benefitting one of the Nest's charity partners. C) ******PERFORMERS! If you are the person with the idea, pick the IDEA/Performer ticket. Anyone assisting you with that idea should buy a Gen Aud / Idea Helper ticket (UNLESS THEY'VE ALREADY PURCHASED A PERFORMER TICKET) and must be ticketed to attend.************ As always, if money is a barrier, reach out. Debate Fighter is a show where 2 teams of improvisers engage in epic verbal combat about subjects that don’t matter to determine which team will win Ultimate Glory! Join us for big laughs and silly debates about dumb fights to the death and help crown our Ultimate Champion each time. These two artists may have crazy techniques to get the shots they want, but their results are crazy good. Each member of this intimate audience will have a photo snapped by the masters of the art in this 50-60 minute experimental/alt-comedy show. The Love Moguls™ host a fully improvised show that brings together a group of hopeful singles, and a few audience members, thrown onto a tropical island in search of love. The BIRDHOUSE Stage + Speakeasy is located right next to the entrance for The Nest Theatre in the back of the building by the parking lot.
