Interwind
"Intertwined" a sculptural colored and dichroic glass celebration of water, soil and air. The artwork will illuminate the College of Public Health's mission by celebrating the environment that optimizes health. Impressionistic three-dimensional renditions of a thriving planet - pure water, healthy plants and clean air, will invite the viewer on a journey of imagination. Three Biomes will be represented: sky and birds, trees and butterflies and water, aquatic plants and fish. The suspended sculptures are made of numerous pieces of handmade glass elements dancing with the light. While the glass itself is transparent its effect on the space is colorful and dynamic. Colors transform dynamically as the glass, its shadows, reflections, and refractions are observed in changing light and from different angles.
