Three Fores: Three Fore-Parents of the Social Work Profession
The artwork in the lounge area was designed to play off the flow of natural light and the area's living room feeling. There are three portraits of significant social workers. Each portait is approximately five feet square. They are made of ceramic tiles and have a ceramic ''frame'' of interlocking arms representing our common humanity. The portraits are done with words rather than line and shadow. The words were handwritten using various shades of dark sepia-toned ceramic color on flat ceramic tiles. The words were gathered from faculty and students and are related to social work and the people in the portraits.
