Emmanuel Lutheran Relocated House

Emmanuel Lutheran Relocated House
Use Policy

The historic brick house at 79 Morrill Avenue used to reside up the street. There, it was saved from demolition that was previously planned by the Emmanuel Lutheran Church to expand its parking lot at the northwest corner of Markison and South Fourth Street. After several years of negotiations with Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Merion Village Association, the City of Columbus and Community Housing Development, the house was moved in October 2006 from 1509 South Fourth Street to its current location. This house has been wonderfully restored after being vacant for some time, and helped anchor a development of several infill new homes being planned for the Fourth and Morrill area
