Lately we’ve enjoyed plenty of fun arts adventures. I caught a concert at the intimate Rambling House last week. On Saturday we stopped by Scrawl, one of my favorite festivals in Columbus. And with our oldest being in marching band, we’re treated to music all the time — even, sometimes, when we’d prefer not to hear blaring trombone solos around the house.
So I’m looking forward to this weekend already, and here are some highlights I found on ColumbusMakesArt.com:
- OSU Theatre, Film and Media Arts presents its annual evening of live action and animated shorts created by students, DigiEYE, on Wednesday, Oct. 18. It’s free!
- This week the Urban Arts Space opens a few new free exhibitions, including Creative Connections: Resilience, Innovation & Community After Covid-19. It’s open through Nov. 1.
- On Thursday, Oct. 19, Harmony Project performs Shine On, its Concert for Columbus at the Ohio Theatre.
- That same night, Evolution Theatre opens A Real Boy, a retelling of the Pinocchio fairytale, at the Abbey Theater of Dublin, while Short North Stage opens a new comedy called Which Way to the Stage.
